The Best of Galloway Genetics

Our A.I. bank contains some of the best of the last 31 years.

Some of our best bloodlines have been extended with the extensive bank of genetics available for A.I. All animals are owned and distributed by George Ramsay unless noted.

We have the most extensive semen inventory in North America including semen from 56 bulls from all four breeds. We also have an extensive inventory of Embryos and will custom collect from current breeding females and from past and present bulls.

Sires noted with an asterisk (*) are proven carriers of a recessive gene for red coat colour. Belted Galloway, White Galloway and Riggit Galloway sires noted with a plus (+) have completed a homozygosity test and have achieved at least 99.99% verification of homozygosity for their colour pattern.

Galloway

Naturally polled. Long-living, very resistant to disease, and easy to manage. The unique double coat of hair makes the Galloway an extremely versatile breed, able to withstand extremes of temperature and climate.

Riggit Galloway

A distinctive variety within the Galloway breed, characterized by their unique coat pattern featuring a white stripe or "rigg" running along their backs. Riggit Galloways are relatively rare compared to other Galloway varieties.

White Galloway

White Galloways, while less common than their black or red counterparts, are valued for their striking all-white coat, black ears and nose. They share the same qualities, including hardiness, adaptability, and excellent meat quality.

Belted Galloway

Perhaps the most visually distinctive variety, Belted Galloways are characterized by a broad white belt encircling their midsection, set against a predominantly black or red coat, adding to their aesthetic appeal.
